  1. No Jimmy Dickens again on Friday night. Jeannie Seely moved from the earlier slot and hosted the 2nd segment.

  2. No Jimmy Dickens again on Saturday night. Jim Ed Brown moved up and hosted the segment. The Whites moved over from the 2nd segment and were on Jim Ed's portion prior to Jimmy Wayne.

  3. Obviously with Jimmy missing on Friday and the 1st show on Saturday, you knew he would not be doing the 2nd show. Jeannie Seely hosted the first segment and The Whites took her spot.

One other mention on last nights show. The first show ran almost 20 minutes over, and I have noticed a pattern over the past several months of many of the Friday and Saturday shows running longer than usual (even with the intermissions on the single show nights). It is nice to see that the Opry is "ok" with the shows running over again. For a while, it was like they had a stopwatch up on stage and when the show was supposed to end, it ended. Lately they have been letting many of the major artists to extra songs on their segments. Nice.

  4. The odd thing about the shows running over is that they still aren't singing as many songs as they used to, but the songs are longer, too. The record for any Opry broadcast I have heard or seen was a telecast when there were EIGHT numbers in one 30-minute segment on TNN. But Bill Monroe was the host, and he didn't exactly banter with people.
