Nice to see the newest Grand Ole Opry members Dailey & Vincent making another Opry appearance. And they have many more on their upcoming schedule.
As far as Opry Country Classics on Thursday night, Larry Gatlin is busy with his new play, so Bill Cody of WSM will be hosting the show:

A very nice line-up and it will be interesting to see if Alyssa joins her mom Kathie Baillie for any songs.

For those who did not listen on Thursday night, Randy Travis was backstage and was introduced by Eddie Stubbs to the Opry audience. It was Randy's birthday. That makes 3 times this year that Randy has visited the Opry.
ReplyDeleteI know some folks might not be fans of the Rascal Flatts boys, but as possibly the youngest reader here, let me be clear! For my generation, they were like Alabama! We knew every word to every song! They won every award possible for about a 10 year period, and they are so very committed to the Opry!
ReplyDeleteThey began by the way as backup singers for my favorite vocalist of all time, Michael English, formally of the Gaither Vocal Band.
They still have probably the biggest drawing power of any group who plays the Opry regularly.
