It would be a PR disaster if the Opry...Fine piece. It would be a PR disaster if the Opry fired the members who never appear for reasons other than health (such as Wilma Lee Cooper) or because they have left the business, at least for now (Jeanne Pruett and Ricky Van Shelton). But I have been and remain disgusted with the three current members you mention, as well as most of the members added in the last 20 years or so. Far too many of them claim their Opry membership is SO important to them, but we never see them.<br /><br />I think of Ricky Skaggs. When he joined, he said, Mr. Acuff said, "You'll be just like the others and never show up."
