Interesting that there is no intermission listed for the show. I wonder if they have given up on that idea?
Let' hope they have given it up, because I hate the idea and hate sitting thru 15 minutes of dead time either at the Opry in my seat in person or here at home listening on the internet. It could be though, since it is at the cramped Ryman that they figure they couldn't get the stampede of people all heading out to the refreshment stands at the same time back in their seats in 15 mins. . . .
ReplyDeleteI know that when I was there in October for the Opry Country Classics show at the Ryman, it was tough for everyone to go to the restroom and the refreshement area at the same time. Also, when listening on the radio, during the intermission they play various classic Opry songs, but if you were just turning into the station, you would not think that the Opry was even on, that they were just playing music.
