Is it just me or does it seem that the Tuesday Night Opry shows offers a better line-up then the weekend shows? I know that a lot of the bigger name artists tour on the weekends or are involved in other activities, which is fine, but it just appears that the Opry management deems the weeknight shows as equally important as the weekend shows, if that makes sense. For some of the Opry's members, they are getting in their appearances but none are coming on the weekends.
With that said, it is another strong Tuesday night show with Opry members Rascal Flatts, Craig Morgan and Dailey & Vincent leading the way:

Opry Country Classics has Tracy Lawrence as the Spotlight Artist this week. He is one entertainer who I would not mind seeing as an Opry member.

ReplyDeleteI was in Nashville this week with my family, and attended both the Tuesday 'Opry at the 'Opry house, and Country Classics at the Ryman. Both appeared to be sell-outs.
ReplyDeleteI think we all under-appreciate how much better the show is in person. Jeannie Seely was absolutely wonderful in person, and the crowd enjoyed her tremendously. There is just so much more energy when you can see as well as hear the performers.
Could write a boo on the shows, but let me finish by telling everybody the best part of my vacation.
Spent a fair amount of money to hire Rachel Hester and her Tennessee Walkers (including Chris Scruggs) to come to our rented condo and put on a private show.
They were gracious, and the show they put on was quite literally one of the greatest things I've ever been a part of.
Nashville is a fantastic place and a trip here is magical.
