  1. people might disagree with me, but I'd love to see a 2 hour opry more often when they just have the group like they'll have Thursday! That would totally be worth the price! Byron, do you think SCC might ever be made a member? I say it all the time, but for those who don't know, he is the single most successful artist in christian music history. He still has a huge name, but I doubt he's charting much today in that space.

    1. Yes, Steven Curtis Chapman is an outstanding contemporary Christian singer who I have seen on the Opry numerous times. He always does an excellent job. However, I just don't see him in line to become an Opry member. You never know, but I think there are several others that they are looking at currently that will be added in 2023.

  2. While the Thursday sure looks like a GREAT lineup for an 'Opry Country Classics show, the 'Opry website lists it as a "Opry Country Christmas Show" ???? Whatever.
With all 'Opry members plus Steve Curtis Chapman, I say,
bring it on, whatever it is called!

    2. It IS a Christmas show. There are eight total Opry Country Christmas shows this month, hosted by Larry Gatlin. Your beloved Opry Country Classics will resume in March, per Opry.com.

  3. I saw Larry Gatlin and his brothers in Nashville Indiana on Saturday, December 3. Put on a good show. A little too much canned music for me, but their harmony is still amazing.
He and his brothers are booked SOLID the entire month of December, all around the country. Amazing at their age.
