Tuesday Night Opry 8/10

The Tuesday Night Opry will feature an extended set by The Isaacs. Consisting of siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman, along with their mother Lily Isaacs, the group is releasing their new album "The American Face." A video in support of the single by the same name has been released and has been very well received. The album will be out August 13.

The American Face draws inspiration from the many genres that have influenced the group’s musical style, including country, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, contemporary, acoustic and gospel. The American Face was recorded in Nashville and produced by Ben Isaacs and Bryan Sutton.

    1. I couldn't agree more Nat and wouldn't it be wonderful if the folks at the Opry invited The Isaacs to become Opry members? They would make a great addition to the Opry family. Wish Opry management would find a couple of Cajun performers, that is one style of music sorely lacking, in my opinion, at the Opry. It's too bad this style of music has gone to the wayside since Jimmy Newman passed away. I say send a couple of Opry members down to New Orleans to find a few acts & invite them to the Opry, heck, they know good music when they hear it.

  2. The Isaacs are as much or more dependable than most of the members. They’ve been fixtures on the Opry for more than a quarter century. They fit every aspect of what makes the Opry great. I say make em members!

  3. What a wonderful surprise tonight at the Opry as The Isaacs were invited to become the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry. Ricky Skaggs did the honors and it is well deserved. A great choice in my opinion.

  6. So if you look at Tuesday's line up, 6 current members, 1 act who was invited to become a member and 1 artist who is the NeXt Stage Artist for August, so every act on Tuesday night's Opry has a direct connection to the Opry and not just a guest, when did that last happen?

    1. It is nice that there are some shows that we are seeing more Opry members on the schedule. But then, you have the upcoming show this Saturday with Bobby Osborne as the only member on the schedule.
