Tuesday Night Opry 10/19 & Opry Country Classics 10/21

One of the special events that takes place at the Grand Ole Opry each October is the night when the "Opry Goes Pink" in support of breast cancer awareness. As the Opry posted on its website:

The Opry will once again join Susan G. Komen® and Komen Tennessee in the fight against breast cancer for the 13th annual Opry Goes Pink show on Tuesday, October 19th with performances by Lauren Alaina, Dillion Carmichael, Maddie & Tae, Del McCoury, Victoria Shaw, and more.

$5 from every ticket sold will be donated to the fight to end breast cancer.

This is always special as the Opry backdrop goes pink and there is usually a very solid line-up of artists in support. The line-up for the show this year:

7:00: Maddie & Tae; Jeannie Seely; Del McCoury Band; Victoria Shaw
Intermission
8:15: Dillion Carmichael; Connie Smith; Dusty Slay; Lauren Alaina

I am very happy to see that the Opry is carrying on this annual event.

  1. I was at the Opry about 3 months ago when lauren alaina made an appearance up to that point it had been a great show featuring John Conlee, the Gatlin Brothers, Connie Smith and others but lauren seemed to think she was the greatest thing since sliced bread she danced around on the stage and made a complete fool of herself eventually I just walked out into the lobby put my headphones on and listened to the game obviously I'm glad something is being done about breast cancer but they could've picked a better artist

  3. Have any of you heard Bobby Marquez? He is a great talent originally from Texas - good country music, writes original music, nice voice and "smiling" personality - he would make a great guest artist for the Opry.
