Tuesday Night Opry 7/11 & Wednesday Night Opry 7/12

Looking at the lineups for the mid-week Opry shows, Eddie Montgomery is on the schedule for the Tuesday Night Opry. This will be Eddie's first Opry appearance of 2023 and it is nice to see him on the schedule. He is always a crowd pleaser.

Joining Eddie on Tuesday night will be Opry members Dailey & Vincent, Jeannie Seely and The Isaacs. Also, of note, is T Graham Brown. Always a pleasure to see T Graham on the schedule as he continues to rack up Opry appearances.

There is only one Opry member on the Wednesday Night schedule and that is Jeannie Seely, Wade Hayes is listed, as is Scotty McCreery and Raul Malo.

There will be two Opry debuts with Mike James scheduled on Tuesday night and Melisa Carper on Wednesday.

Tuesday July 11
7:00: Dailey & Vincent, Jeannie Seely, William Beckmann, Eddie Montgomery
Intermission
8:15: T Graham Brown, Mike James, Kameron Marlowe, The Isaacs

Wednesday July 12
7:00: Jeannie Seely, Wade Hayes, Melisa Carper, Parmalee
Intermission
8:15: Ian Munsick, Raul Malo, Scotty McCreery

Really hate to see just one Opry member on the Wednesday night show.

  1. I don't consider the Wednesday show a Grand Old 'Opry show.
    That is absolutely pathetic.
Nothing against the entertainers who are not members, but it is false advertising to call this an 'Opry show.

  2. In that spirit, and feeling a bit cranky, I'll repost what I said elsewhere recently: Just for fun, I decided to look at websites for summer touring schedules. Clint doesn't have shows listed between July 15-27. Luke Combs has nothing on Tuesday nights. Diamond Rio is out west for July but has free Tuesdays while in the Midwest in August. Emmylou Harris is doing limited touring. Alison Krauss seems to have nothing scheduled right now (nor does Alan Jackson, but there may be some health concerns). Martina McBride doesn't show a lot of tour dates. Reba McEntire doesn't list any tour dates coming up. Brad Paisley isn't touring the next couple of weeks and has a lot of open slots. Blake Shelton lists no tour dates the rest of this month. Travis Tritt is doing weekends but has some free Tuesdays, as does Keith Urban. So ... do they care about the Opry or not?

    1. @Anonymous ... do they care about the Opry or not?

I think we all know the answer to your question by the total lack of appearances by all those members you list and then those who aren't listed, tells us so. If they really cared about getting to the stage carrying on the "family tradition" they would.

    2. Agreed. Now, some of them do special events for the Opry, such as Garth. OK. I am understanding of the ones who don't live in Nashville--for years, several people didn't accept memberships for that reason. But it isn't as if none of them is ever around Nashville the night of an Opry show. Brad Paisley is the one who annoys me the most since he tended to make the most noise about the Opry meaning so much to me and saying, "Tater, we'll take it from here."

    3. I’m just wondering where ole brad took it to? He played the Opry regularly until he obtained membership, then he became practically a stranger to the place (unless there is some big event going on with a lot of cameras present, then he will be there with high heels on acting as if he’s there every weekend). Seems to speak volumes of one’s character. He’s not the only one, but he’s probably the most blatant in his talk vs. his actions. As the old saying goes, “don’t pee down my leg and tell me it’s raining”. I would have more respect if he would at least be honest and admit that he is a dead beat Opry member.

    4. Not to the extent of Mr. Paisley, but I tend to think of Shelton and Urban as two more who talk up the Opry but can't find their way there.

    5. They could easily play two to four shows in one weekend. Carrie who is on those you listed level I is able to do that.
